Position is full-time and available immediately.
We are a startup creating a community web application that will be used by apartment buildings, condominium buildings, and housing communities. This project has been in development for over 1.5 years, and we are currently in the beta testing stage with our first client. As soon as this completes, we have a strong sales plan in-place for rapid expansion. For more information regarding the project, please visit our website.
We are seeking a talented web developer to join our team in Fort Lauderdale, FL. We offer outstanding career and growth opportunities and a highly self-directed environment. A desire to write well organized, testable and documented code is critical.
Currently we are very focused on rapid development to complete beta testing as soon as possible. We are extremely agile, and will become test-intensive once the initial version is complete.
You will be working very closely with our lead developer to tackle stories tracked in Pivotal Tracker. Once a story is started, models (with complete RSpec coverage) are solidified first. After that we will code the controller, views, and any related functionality. Code is checked into our git repository (committing early and often). All development is done in feature branches, usually one feature branch per story, and then eventually pulled into the master branch.
Our office is located in downtown Fort Lauderdale. You do not need to be able to work on-site, you may complete all work from remote locations. The only requirement for this position is that you have a fast, and stable, internet connection and are available on Skype whenever you are working.
We are seeking long-term employment with 40 hours per week of development. There are no strict business hours, however you will need to adhere to certain work hours to ensure a good amount of time-overlap with our current schedule.
