Want to build something new, but not have to start from scratch? Want to build something useful that people can use freely? Then come work for us.
ASpaceApart is a django-based event platform focused on the use of social graphs at live events that has gained traction and is scaling—now.
We are a seed-funded Excelerate Labs 2011 company and actively testing/scaling the system toward a public launch on August 31st on Investor day.
We need python/django devs. And fast.
We are attacking a problem that we feel impacts anyone that has ever tried to effectively network. We are trying to solve a problem that we have personally had. We are wanting to further develop a product that we want to use.
In other words, we feel confident that this is a product that will resonate with others—and hopefully you.
So why would you want to accept this unique challenge?
  • You are an experienced Python developer that wants to have a direct impact on how a product is made. No clueless suits making the call about things they don’t understand.
  • You would have a chance to help us merge social graphs from a variety of obvious and not-so-obvious sources.
  • You want to be more involved in the utilization of social API’s.
  • You want to be part of the fastest growing tech incubator in the world (ExcelerateLabs).
  • You want to work with an experience web and mobile UX team (our mobile UX lead has 37 iPhone and Android projects under his belt).
  • You want to help build the Chicago tech scene. There are 10 companies that operate at the Excelerate Labs offices and cross collaboration is deeply encouraged.
  • You want to be part of improving a product that exists (rather than working on vaporware).
  • You get a chance to build something that people could use—anywhere.
We have the foundation laid—now we’re building the house and we need passionate people to help us.
If your interested in getting involved with our startup—contact us now. August 31st is only a few weeks away.
