Job Description:
We are
looking for a full time Senior Rails Developer to join our team. This person should have experience
with TDD and modern Rails best practices. You will be our first full-time developer
responsible for taking over the existing bolstr web application, and helping to
build a team as our company grows.
An ideal candidate is (i) someone
who can code up a storm but also can facilitate best, TDD and agile, practices.
(ii) Has experience developing web
applications that have gone through the full lifecycle and are currently still
in production.
This is a full-time position
located in the NYC Area. Please no consulting firms or off-shore providers.

  • Ruby on Rails
  • Rspec
  • Cucumber
  • HAML/Sass/Compass
  • HTML/CSS/Javascript
  • MySQL
  • Git
  • Linux

/ Experience:
  • At least a BSCS/BSEE in computer
    science or software engineering
  • Ability to handle database design
    and management as needed to keep pace with code development
  • Experience developing apps that
    run on Linux and open source products
  • Ability to take a leadership role
    on a development team
  • Experience using standard
    development tools like source control and issue tracking software
