The Position:
Software Engineer
We’re expanding our team of creative, passionate programmers to help us build our product and scale up our systems to support a rapidly growing business. We want programmers who love coding and want to help build an awesome web site that will make our users happy.  You will be part of a team that works on one of the largest regional sites in the country.
Development work will be done in a Python, JavaScript, MySQL and MongoDB environment, experience developing with Django preferred. A passion for new technologies and a drive to find better ways to produce interactive online content is key.
Requirements
A Computer Science degree, or equivalent industry experience
Experience with content management systems a plus.
Proven experience in designing, developing, and releasing Python-based products with a continuous release lifecycle; high performance, high availability products.
Expert knowledge of Linux development and deployment environments
Bonus for strong database skills (scaling, tuning, sharding) and some front-end experience
Interest in mobile development (mobile web, iOS, Android)
Familiarity with an additional language such as Java, Ruby, PHP, etc.
Community awareness (online resources, frameworks, etc)
