Posted by | October 14, 2010 | Web Pro Job Tips

Location: Chicago, IL

We’re starting a side project and looking for someone to manage it from
soup to nuts, including the design, development, third party integration
and deployment. We need someone who has done this before, preferably
multiple times. The project will require a lot of product development
creativity. We’re going to try and do some good in the world. This is
greenfield development; we’re looking for somebody to take the project
from nothing to launching in production.
Required technical skills:
* Ruby on Rails
* Javascript (JQuery preferred)
* TDD/BDD (RSpec preferred)
* Automated deployments (Capistrano preferred)
* Git version control
* Configuring deployment to Ubuntu servers
is a full-time contract position. We have a strong preference for
someone living in Chicago. We are not opposed to a remote arrangement,
but you’d need to be present for a day or two, one or two times a month
to work with the rest of the team.
Please reference the link below to learn more about how we work and what we expect of our team members.
To apply, please include the following:
– websites you’ve designed, developed and deployed in the past
– code examples
– anything you’d like to use to introduce yourself: resume (written or video), blog, twitter account, letter, etc.

To apply: Please email with the items above and include "Soup to Nuts (your name)" in the subject line.
