(Analyst/Programmer III)
$6166 – $9900 mo / Full-Time
Major Duties
Under general direction from the Senior Director, Information Services, and
in close collaboration with stakeholders across the institution The incumbent
serves as lead developer and supervisor of IT Web Content Management System;
creates technical designs, writes codes for modifications and new functionality
and documents and executes test plans. Is responsible for the Drupal enterprise
content management system (WebOne) for administrative web site content
throughout the university; provides vision, leadership, standards, process and
architecture to make the web environment more effective for the web content
owners who are distributed throughout campus divisions; and is responsible for
the design and development of new modules integrating services with the content
management system, as needed. Provides additional project support with regard to
web programming. Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a technical
area or related field; Master’s degree preferred. Five years of full-time,
progressively responsible field-related experience, including one year of
project management, team leadership, and systems implementation. Experience
developing and managing enterprise Drupal instance; experience with portal,
mobile and/or web content management technologies and concepts preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Extensive knowledge of: programming,
systems analysis techniques, and systems development principles; and relational
database principles. Working knowledge of web applications technology, design
concepts and implementation. Functional knowledge of: Drupal, Apache/Tomcat,
IIS, Weblogic, Tuxedo desirable. Ability and specialized skills to: use the
following software applications and operating systems: Windows, Linux, Java, PHP
and/or other web development languages; code, test, and debug software
applications; provide ongoing project leadership to technical development staff;
analyze problems and propose effective solution; understand functional and
procedural requirements and develop alternative solutions; relate system
solutions to departmental management and staff; and communicate effectively both
orally and in writing; develop and make presentations; conduct meetings; develop
and provide user training; and establish and maintain effective working
relationships with others. Additional advanced Drupal administration skills
including module evaluation and selection, module installation and maintenance,
module patching, taxonomy development, security modeling and implementation,
ongoing site process and operations, and Drupal performance optimization; Drupal
integration and API capability skills, including standard integrations such as
Google Analytics; and module creation, module migration, module patching and
modification, advanced PHP capabilities and knowledge of relevant database
