We love Django, HTML5 and mobile web development—seeking same.
Over the past few months, we’ve been building a new site with a new direction. Our new site is powered by Django and built on top of a Java/Spring api layer. While this is primarily a front-end position, your skill set must include Django experience—specifically, writing views and templates.
With the new site, we are focusing our efforts on mobile and tablet-optimized experiences, and it would be sweet if our new dev had an interest in tinkering with Android and iPhone apps vis a vis mobile-optimized websites. We’ve already built an HTML5-based mobile-optimized web application utilizing jQTouch, and are interested in building more (possibly on jQuery Mobile this time)—check out http://www.tv.com/relay
on your Android or iOS device to get an idea of what we’ve been up to. You must have strong front-end sensibilities (HTML5, jQuery, & CSS3 would be a plus, and an unpretentious web standards fan).
You’ll build end-user features as fast as we can dream them up. You’ll work closely with everyone on our product development team to turn product designs into reality. Our front-end software engineers span the full technology process, and are completely responsible for every new feature we build – from tech design through deployment. The features you build are used by millions of people the day they launch.
There’s plenty of new adventures to be had here at TV.com, interested in helping lead the charge?
