Brief Description of Role:
Department Description
The Interactive/User Experience Team is part of Schwab Creative Services. We ensure the strategic implementation of technology in support of Schwab’s sales, marketing and branding efforts.
Our team is responsible for determining the technical, functional, and user experience information for interactive projects within Creative Services. The User Experience Architect assists in the proper definition, distribution and application of this information throughout project lifecycles.
UXA Requirements
Fundamentally, the UXA is the advocate for user-centered design, mediating between client, user, and the agency’s creative and technical teams. The UXA is most involved at the outset of a project as the user experience is analyzed and defined, but plays a consultative role throughout. UXA input at the initial stages of the project provides focus and builds consensus throughout the project cycle.
The UXA is responsible for delivering wire frames, user interaction models, user testing strategy and best practices information. Deliverables change on a project-by-project basis, but may also include elements such as site maps, task analysis, mapping to personas, site maps, user / system flows, workflow analysis, storyboards, content mapping, paper or interactive prototypes, SEO recommendations, and usability testing.
Applicants must have:
-Strong client and team leading skills as well as a high proficiency in both written and oral communication
– Bachelors degree preferred and 5+ years of UXA and information architecture experience on web-based applications and web sites, preferably in an agency environment
– Strong UX/IA portfolio
– Ability to manage multiple large-scale projects at one time, delivering expected documents/recommendations on time
– Proficiency with Mac OS X, Windows, and the following software: OmniGraffle, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat Professional, Power Point, and Visio
