Are you a Django or Rails programmer with expert with a GIS bend and a passion for public service?
The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is changing the definition of government technology. We have assembled an amazing team of developers, designers, and data analysts, and we are committed to becoming the most advanced web team in government. If you are an experienced developer with a passion for usability and an obsession with browser compatibility, we’d like for you to join us.
As a GIS and web developer, you will help build interactive mapping tools for our public-facing web site (ConsumerFinance.gov), and create internal applications and data tools for CFPB staff. In doing so, you will change the way that Americans think and learn about their finances by making it an engaging, user-friendly experience. You will also help create software that bank examiners and researchers use to guaranty the stability of our nation’s economy.
Applications that are this critical deserve nothing less than stellar development skills, so we are looking for someone who can provide them.
