about creative, innovative designs as well as championing usability principles,
and recognize when it’s okay to violate those principles. You know that content
is king, and understand what it takes to balance an amazing design with an
optimal user experience.

You’re visually
creative, organized, passionate, and possess excellent writing skills. Without a doubt, you’re also a strong leader.

You have hands on experience producing and/or managing the following:
- Strategy: Creative, brand, and usability (both
web dev and mobile) - Solutions: Wireframes, information architecture,
visual designs, user experience briefs, user personas, taxonomies, content
models/strategies, prototyping, - Implementation: CMS workflows, admin interfaces,
content migrations, governance planning, training
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Creative Directors, Project
Managers and Engagement managers to create project scopes, schedules, and road
maps - Plan for, develop, oversee, and polish all UX
project deliverables (such as strategic briefs, concepts, wireframes, site
maps, content inventories, etc.) - Create and present aforementioned deliverables
when necessary - Champion principles of usability and
user-centered design and know when it’s ok to violate those principles - Manage/Mentor creative, content, and user experience
teams for the agency - Collaborate with teammates and clients to ensure
that the integrity of the experience is maintained through launch - Contribute to our process and shared knowledge,
and help to evolve the way we work - Represent User Experience in pitch work and
business development - Requirements/Qualifications:
- 10+ years’ experience creating interfaces and defining
user experiences for mid to large scale websites and applications - 3-5 years of experience in an
information architecture role, with 2-3 years working on complex web sites or
applications - 3-5 years of experience being directly
responsible for creative and content strategy on a dynamic, complex or
ever-evolving website - 1-2 years of experience with mobile websites and
iphone/android experience design. - Desire to produce the best experiences in the
industry hands-down - Full understanding of how to apply the
methodologies of interaction design and research to website and product development - Successful track record leading
interdisciplinary teams in creating killer products - Experience managing, growing, and mentoring
junior colleagues - Proven client management skills
- Capacity to think holistically about a client’s
business - Engaging presentation style
- Solid writing and visual communication skills
- Familiarity with usability heuristics and
relevant HCI literature - Knowledge of InDesign or other tools for generating
wireframes and behavior specifications - Ability to inspire passion, dedication, and
killer work from others - Open to feedback and knows when to how and when
to defend design choices - Takes risks in design and content that lead to a
perfect balance of innovation and usability - Proactive, hands-on person who loves a challenge
- Not afraid of small startup type environments
with TONs of opportunity to influence and lead - Must play well with all client types – from the well-funded
startup looking to you to make their dreams a reality, to the corporate and government
types looking for a strong voice to save them from their own business politics.
