work on multiple projects that include testing customer-facing web
applications, our RESTful services layer and applications that utilize
Facebook, Twitter and other third party social service APIs.
- 3+ years white and black
box QA experience in distributed web-based, client/server environments.
Experience with Ruby, Maven, Ant & J2EE technologies highly desirable.
- 1+ years of Automation
experience desired (Segue, Mercury/HP, Selenium, etc.).
- Java Application Server
& Web Server experience required. Must have at least 2 years
experience with Apache, Tomcat, JBOSS or some other Java server
- Should be familiar with
working in Unix shells (bash, ksh, etc.) for many aspects of standard
system analysis, namely viewing log files, doing basic editing in vi, etc.
- Must have experience
with HTTP protocol based applications (IE, Firefox, etc.) and front-end
& middle-tier technologies typically used (CSS, JSP, Ruby, PHP, HTML,
- Must have SQL knowledge
and experience, enough to execute basic queries and have familiarity using
GUI based database browser tools.
- Ruby experience highly
desirable. Familiarity with Ruby gems, framework, engines, etc.
- Standard Functionality,
Regression, System, Integration & ad hoc testing experience and
- Should be fully capable
of Test Case & Test Plan creation and execution, including boundary
testing, negative testing, data type testing, positive testing, etc.
- Knowledge of real life
QA processes, standards and procedures as well as Software Development
Life Cycle, both in a classic software development sense and a rapidly
evolving and growing company sense.
- Must have Bug Tracking
tools experience. Understanding of the complete bug life cycle, as well as
what constitutes valid bug metrics, important aspects of a well written
- Solid analytical,
problem solving skills as well as excellent written and oral communication
- Fully capable of
creating valid estimates regarding effort for tasks; can communicate and
manage adjustments as well as able to effectively organize and prioritize
- Ideally has experience
testing without functional requirements and short release cycles.

interfacing with product/business and or development teams
- Experience working in a
