We’re a design-driven startup looking for someone immensely talented and ludicrously talented professional to help build the look and feel – and influence even more – of our product, online and on mobile devices. We want a company aesthetic that has personality, life, wit, and beauty, and we’ll give a front end developer the freedom to build that aesthetic.
Do you want to build cutting-edge products that are daring and fun and gorgeous? Do you want to work for a company that prioritizes the user experience, instead of one that thinks of it as something done on top of a product, like whipped cream on a cake? At Giftly, we subscribe to Jobs’ idea that “Design is not just what it looks like and feels like. Design is how it works.”
Come show how deeply a great front end can drive product success!
Who are we?
At Giftly, we’ve created a new and awesome kind of gift card, one which is poised to disrupt the $100B gift card industry. Giftly Cards are insanely personalized, can work at any merchant -local, national, international- or for any type of experience or product. They’re beautiful, can be sent socially or privately, and capture more personality than 100,000 typical gift cards combined*.
Giftly has raised over $1.5M from tier-1 VCs, and our angel investors including the former CEO of DailyCandy, the founders of Aardvark, and the Creator of Farmville. Our small team includes the first employee at Aardvark, a former TechCrunch analyst, a core member of a Fortune 100 gift card program, the head of programming for a $12B hedge fund, a developer of department of defense grade security systems, and the of design at Yelp!.
What we seek:
We want an exceptionally kick-ass front end developer who creates stunning, amazing, fearless work. It’s a lot of responsibility, but it’s a lot of freedom: this is your chance to make sure that awesome is implemented flawlessly is part of a product from day one, to ensure that beauty, utility, cleverness, and intelligence are always part of our execution.
