Web Developer / Sr. Web Assistant
Houlihan Lokey, a financial services firm in Century City, seeks a full time Web Developer/Sr. Web Assistant for our Corporate Marketing department.  Job duties include but are not limited to:
  • Create electronic mailings including newsletters, announcements, invitations etc. in HTML format
  • Maintain graphics and content on the company’s website using the Ektron CMS
  • Create and maintain conference and event registration mini-sites
  • Produce custom graphics for the mini-sites based on an existing style guide
  • Encode, post and manage online webcasts and presentations
  • Develop new templates for electronic mailings and mini-sites using current web standards
  • Analyze web traffic and create custom reports (Google Analytics)
  • Interface with multiple parties involved in the content development and approval of the above
  • Manage own projects and Web department projects
Depending on experience
  • Develop custom .Net applications
  • Develop modules and customizations for the Ektron CMS
Required skills, preferably with 5+ years of experience
  • Mastery of HTML, CSS, (+ HTML5 & CSS3), basic JavaScript and JQuery
  • Understanding of coding for e-mail clients (HTML e-mail templates) as well as across browser platforms
  • Professional experience with Dreamweaver, Photoshop, FTP clients
  • MSWord, Excel, Powerpoint, MS Windows
  • Understanding of SEO principles and ability to write SEO-friendly content
  • Experience with Google Analytics and custom reports
Recommended skills, 3+ years of experience
  • MS ASP.net (using C#), SQL Server, XML/XSL, Source code version control (Subversion, Git), Visual Studio 2008/10
  • Experience with the Ektron CMS
  • Understanding of the IIS hosting environment (IIS 6,7)
  • Ruby, ActiveRecord, Sinatra/Padrino/Rails frameworks, test-driven development
Other skills
  • Ability to quickly learn and adopt new workflows and web-related technologies
  • Excellent spoken and written communication
  • Able to manage and work on multiple projects involving multiple internal clients under strict timelines
  • Enthusiastic, proactive and positive attitude
  • Mastery of one or more of the following languages is a plus: Chinese, Japanese, French or German.
