Our team has commenced work on a large scale web application. Mockups have been created for most of the user interface (literally hundreds of images), and work is currently under way to produce the front end GUI.
What we need is an experienced System Architect who will be able to analyse the specifications we have produced and assist in defining the architecture of this system to ensure it’s successful implementation.
We’re looking for someone who has already worked on large web applications, and previous experience managing small-medium software teams through challenging projects.
We are using a PHP MVC framework (Symfony), MySQL for the database, YUI for the front-end and SVN for the version control. So, experience with these particular technologies is useful and an ability to understand and use them is necessary.
It would be great if you are familiar with agile software development methodologies, and can help to organise our team to successfully adopt these in practice.
The key responsibility of this role will be to thoroughly understand the system requirements then translate those into a secure, stable and scalable architecture, then oversee it’s correct implementation.
