Web Developer for Small Interactive Agency

Position Summary:
This role is a front end coder with a focus on javascript. The ideal person for this role will have a strong design aesthetic, be detail-oriented, able to code HTML and CSS by hand (no WYSIWYG editors), and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment as part of a team.
This person will be responsible for ongoing development of client web sites. You will be responsible for taking page designs built in PhotoShop or Illustrator and coding them into existing web site templates along with the necessary image production to support your code. Javascript programming will sometimes be a significant part of assignments. This person will work with the team to ensure that the final product is an accurate reflection of the original concept.
– 2+ years of experience working on web sites
– Production experience with PhotoShop, ImageReady, and/or Illustrator
– Experience with hand-coding X/HTML and CSS
– Knowledge of cross-browser/cross-platform implementation differences
– Strong ability working with and debugging JavaScript (AJAX, Jquery)
– Some experience working with any server-side technology (JSP and/or .net ideally)
– Some experience using any IDE (IntelliJ and/or Visual Studio ideally)
– Some knowledge of any source control software (Subversion ideally)
