Here’s how an interaction designer at Patch spends their time
  • Crafting stellar user experiences that elegantly balance user and business need
  • Applying UCD processes to design user flows, wireframes, and detailed interaction designs
  • Creating
    rapid prototypes (mockups, screen flows, interactive models, etc.) to
    test with consumers and integrate feedback through an iterative process
  • Working with researchers to learn about our users and validate designs
  • Collaborating with visual designers to integrate the visual brand and refine interaction
  • Collaborating with engineers and QA to implement the product
  • Evangelizing user needs and design rationale for features
  • Advocating for and delivering design excellence in everything we make
About You
We’re looking for someone to come share our vision for the future of Patch
  • 3-5 years designing interfaces for web. Mobile applications a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in either Web Design, Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Computer Human Interaction or a related field
  • Strong
    understanding of basic UCD methodology. You should be comfortable going
    out into the world for inspiration and know how to validate your
  • Experience creating detailed sitemaps, workflows, wireframes, and interaction design specifications
  • Proficient with design tools such as Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Visio, OmniGraffle, and Axure
  • Experience collaborating with visual designers, developers, and product/project managers
  • Prototyping skills in HTML, JavaScript, and CSS a plus
  • Layout skills and an experienced eye for color & typography a plus
