PBS: Senior Web Designer

PBS seeks talented candidates for Senior Web Designer. The Senior Web Designer will work closely with PBS KIDS Interactive Creative Director on front-end development of all PBS KIDS web projects and act as design lead on designated projects.  Key responsibilities include:
  • Flash and HTML development of pbskids.org sites and systems such as PBS KIDS homepage, user login/registration system and PBS KIDS games area;
  • Work closely with editorial staff to review internally and externally developed wireframes and designs, provide critiques and explain design concepts to designers and non-designers;
  • Create and maintain library of game feature graphics;
  • Provide creative guidance to PBS KIDS designers.
Candidates must possess 3-5 years in a web design role; 1-2 years designing for kids audience; Portfolio demonstrating web design and production ability; Strong sense of visual, information and interface design for users ages 2-10. Bachelors Degree in art, design or related field required.
