The Opportunity?
Revolution Prep is looking for junior or mid-level software
developers to join our development team. You’ll be developing web
applications in Ruby on Rails, AJAX, JavaScript, and MySQL in an agile
development environment. We are also using Redis for some data storage
and anticipate that we may use NOSQL more heavily as we grow.
?The Candidate?
We’re looking for smart people who can learn quickly, love
technology, and want to work on innovative web applications. Prior
experience in Ruby or Rails is not required but you must have experience
developing in one or more of the following object-oriented languages:
Ruby, Python, Objective-C, Java, Smalltalk, Scala, or Haskell. You
should also have the ability to learn new languages quickly. In
addition, you should have experience in developing web software
applications using the MVC pattern.??
  •  Prior development experience in any of the following
    object-oriented languages: Ruby, Python, Objective-C, Java, Smalltalk,
    Scala, or Haskell
  • Experience developing web applications using the MVC pattern
  • Ability to learn new languages and read and understand other people’s code
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
    including the ability to escalate questions quickly when needed, and to
    work well both independently and with the team
  • Experience with Ruby, Rails, jQuery, MySQL, UNIX, git, CSS, TextMate
  • Experience with Ruby on Rails/TextMate/git
  • Familiarity with non-relational database concept
