We are currently seeking an experienced Web Developer to work with team providing front- and back-end programming and database management for Samaritan’s Purse web sites. Includes maintenance of existing website functions, development of future capabilities on our sites, and providing coding/programming support to handle daily changes of content requiring database or back-end input and development within a recent content management system.
Requires experience in developing applications for mobile platforms and social media environments. Ability to port content to diverse platforms is a major objective for this position. Development environments includes Microsoft .NET servers with a stronger influence of Apache and variations. Must demonstrate developed skills in html, PHP, MySQL, ASP.NET, ASP 3.0, VBScript, MS SQL 7, DHTML, and JavaScript. Familiarity with PHP and .NET based content management systems (Umbraco, Expression Engine, Joomla, etc.) also required.
Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Computer Science or related area of study preferred; computer systems training certificate indicative of related training; at least 2 years experience working to develop, program and launch corporate websites; or equivalent combination of education and experience
