The Samasource engineering team is
looking for a talented Ruby developer. We are a rapidly growing and diverse
team looking for candidates who will excel and thrive in a dynamic start up. If
you are looking to play a key role in building a distributed work platform that
will be used by people all over the world to better their lives, then we are
your company.
The Job:
We are
looking for driven, self-motivated engineers who will develop and build the
core architecture and features for our platform. Ideal candidates should have
concept-to-launch experience building scalable web applications. As a web
developer you will be involved in all aspects of the development cycle and work
directly with Samasource’s management team.
  • Write elegant, high quality, unit-tested code. Be
    prepared to send in samples of work that you’re proud of, bonus points for
    contributions to open source projects
  • Proactively communicate with workers and customers to
    understand and fix problems
  • Fearlessly learn new technologies and comprehend new problem
  • Share your work with internal and external stakeholders
    in team meetings and at conferences
  • 2+ years of experience working in
  • 3+ years of relational database
  • Strong understanding of Javascript
    and client-side technologies
  • Comfortable operating in a Linux
  • Strong working knowledge of unit
    testing frameworks
  • At home in a very fast-paced
    environment with a high level of ambiguity
  • Willingness to make this startup a
    major part of your life for the next two to three years
