Experience Architect – Contract
Siteworx is looking
for a user experience architect to join a focused project team for a
two-month full-time contract position, based in Chicago. This position
requires working directly with peers and client stakeholders to develop
strategies and specifications for a major WCM implementation project.
The Experience Architect will work closely with the project team to
gather requirements, review and enhance existing user experience
documentation, design the back-end user interface, and provide user
experience oversight and consulting services. Ideally, the incumbent
will have at least 5 years’ experience as an Information / User
Experience Architect in the digital sector. 
Although the
position is initially project-based, it has contract-to hire potential,
dependent on account growth and/or new opportunities.
·         Conduct project
research, including document review, content audit and evaluation,
onsite interviews, and task and workflow analyses
·         Facilitate workshops and other requirements-gathering meetings
·         Conduct a thorough review and gap analysis of existing user interface diagrams
·         Develop task
analyses, UI documents, user interaction models, functional
specifications, content object models, and other project documentation
with little direction
·         Participate in collaborative multi-disciplinary work sessions and development sprints to adapt requirements as needed
·         Contribute to and deliver considered, concise and relevant presentations to colleagues and clients
  • Collaborate with the internal project team to ensure that the user experience meets both client and end user needs
·         Ensure deliverables are on time and in budget
  • Drive results and high levels of client satisfaction
  • Be comfortable in managing aggressive
    deadlines and working with project managers to prioritize and scope
    project tasks and levels of effort as they pertain to the project
·         3-5 Years
experience in human factors, user interface design and information
architecture in the Web or Web-based application arena
·         Bachelors degree in HCI, computer science, web design, or related area
·         Excellent client-facing consultative skills including the ability to lead clients and drive best practices
  • User focused, highly motivated, organized, able to multi-task, and work under tight deadlines
  • Knowledge and evidence of practice with user-centered design principles and information architecture and information design
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the user experience field.
  • Portfolio that includes examples of user interface diagrams, requirements and specifications
  • Familiarity with industry tools for generating flow diagrams, wireframes, and specifications
