This opportunity is to join our growing team as Lead Developer.  You will provide hands-on leadership in addition to coding web projects by evaluating and selecting existing solutions and/or developing bespoke applications.  In addition to developing engaging experiences in the browser, you will move beyond the browser and work in conceptual and physical spaces to create mobile projects and highly-interactive physical environments and installations.
Leading interactive projects for web, mobile and physical computing through their full life-cycle
Architecting and developing object-oriented client- and server-side architectures
Building and consuming APIs and service-oriented architectures
Tracking and managing project’s technical scope
Working collaboratively on conceptual development with Creative and Strategy teams
Collaborating with and presenting to business and technical stakeholders
Assisting with new business and scoping
Contributing to best-practices and processes
Required Skills:
Client-side development using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, including HTML5 and CSS3
Cross-browser compatibility, semantic markup and progressive enhancement are second-nature and not an afterthought
Scalable server-side development using PHP5 and Python
MySQL5 database architecture, performance, development and deployment
Systems design with scalability and performance in mind before it becomes a necessity
Version control using git and Subversion
Familiarity with UML diagramming
Appropriate application of design patterns to real-world situations
Able to work in traditional waterfall and agile processes
Insatiable curiosity and forward-thinking nature
Ability to scope development and manage time efficiently
Identification, escalation and mitigation of potential issues before they become real
Extremely detail-oriented eye
Well-developed analytical and investigative sense
Willingness to push projects to their full potential
Desirable Qualifications:
Physical computing, vision and generative systems (Arduino, multi-touch, OpenFrameworks, Processing, Kinect)
Native and HTML5 development for iOS and Android
No-SQL database development using MongoDB
Frameworks such as Yii, Zend Framework, Glue, Limonade, Django, Pyramid, Bottle, Flask
Knowledge of HAML, SASS, XUI, Compass, BackboneJS
ActionScript 3, Flex, AIR development
Server administration for OS X Server, Linux, Apache
CDNs for static asset delivery and video streaming
Implementation of cloud-computing architectures such as Amazon EC2, Google App Engine and Rackspace Cloud Servers
API integrations and oAuth for services like Vimeo, Flickr, Facebook and Twitter
Familiarity with Jira, Confluence and Greenhopper
Commitment and contribution to open-source projects
