Teach For America is looking for a back-end developer with 3-5 years of experience building and maintaining Drupal sites. The Drupal Back-end Developer will work with our in-house Front-end Developer and visual design team to develop and maintain Teach For America’s public-facing website, www.teachforamerica.org. The Drupal Back-end Developer will play a key role in several major marketing initiatives, including a complete migration of the website’s content and codebase to Drupal 7. This role reports to the Managing Director of Digital Initiatives on Teach For America’s marketing team.
Qualifications 
Education and experience 
  • 3-5 years of experience in web development, including experience in Drupal and PHP
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in CS or a related field 
  • Experience working with technology, marketing, and design teams
      Knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • Proven experience programming in PHP, JavaScript, and jQuery
  • Fluent familiarity with all aspects of Drupal development, including themeing and site implementation
  • Familiarity with UNIX/Linux system administration of a LAMP stack
  • Expertise coding standards-compliant XHTML/HTML and CSS
  • Experience managing software development projects and developers
  • A positive attitude and a passion for creating beautiful and functional web applications
