Posted by | January 26, 2012 | Web Pro Job Tips

Location: Vancouver, Canada

We’re looking for a talented front end developer designer to help us produce inspired web applications and mobile experiences. Someone passionate about creating no-excuses world class work. Someone wildly creative, imaginative and methodically questioning.  Someone sick of broken client relationships and bureaucracy.
The Still is a small, focused, multidisciplinary studio.  We solve problems for a very select group of clients using thorough process over the course of years.  We design and build identity systems, applications, video and motion productions, print collateral, communication campaigns and long term strategies, among other things, in a 600 square foot office.  We do these things as part of a unified system, not one off projects.  We have incredible relationships with our clients and seek deep collaboration within their businesses in order to do our best work.
Our work is diverse. In the last year, we’ve met challenges ranging from Canadian national identity to the heritage of a single building. From installations and experience design for events, to beautiful web interfaces and data visualizations, we tell stories across a broad range of mediums.
You will:
Work closely in a core team of 5 and alongside outside specialists to create designs nothing short of world class.
Prototype, mock up and iterate.
Develop long term web application interfaces.
Iterate over the long term.
Produce responsive layouts to create strong experiences across a range of devices.
A passion for pushing the envelope technically.
Initiative, self-direction, and a sense of ownership in your work.
The details: you sweat them.
Ability to reliably estimate time required for tasks.
Demonstrated excellence with HTML5, CSS3 and javascript (jQuery in particular).
Demonstrated experience with esponsive layouts, progressive enhancement and modern web font solutions.
Experience with versioning systems, GIT in particular.
A level of comfort in templating setups for various frameworks including Drupal and Rails.
