Thingomatic, a provider of hosted e-commerce solutions for
small and medium-sized businesses, is seeking someone passionate about web
design and user experience to join our small team.
You’ll help transform our engineering vision into an
attractive, intuitive user experience.
From wireframes to Photoshop mockups to HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
coding, you’ll be creating functional, visually stunning web UI for our seller tools.  You’ll be designing landing pages that
convert, demo stores that showcase our capabilities, and stock themes that merchants
using our platform can adapt to their business.
Both the company and the product are brand-new, so this
position is a unique opportunity for someone who wants to help define the
company’s brand and culture from the ground up.
In addition to salary and benefits, this position comes with a
significant equity stake in the company and the potential to advance your
career as Thingomatic grows.  This is a
full-time position, based out of our office in San Francisco.
The ideal candidate is smart, enthusiastic, talented, and
gets things done.  You’re able to
self-prioritize and work with limited oversight.  You can create graphic elements from scratch
and quickly translate mockups into standards-compliant markup.  You have experience with (or a strong in
interest in) data visualization using interactive charts and graphs.  You’re adept at using A/B and usability
testing to refine your designs.   Ideally,
you’ve worked with Django or Rails templates in the past – bonus points if
you’ve also done some front-end development work in a dynamic language such as Python,
Ruby, or PHP.  Prior startup experience
is a nice-to-have, but not essential.

To apply: Please, no recruiters, outsourcing firms, or telephone inquiries about this opening. Individuals interested in applying should submit their resume and a link to their portfolio to jobs@thingomatic.com.
