to manage front-end design and development of both the Toura Content Management
System and Mobile applications using thoughtful, insightful application of
stakeholders (creative and development teams), operate self-sufficiently in a
startup environment and ultimately design creative and modern interfaces that
meet Toura’s needs. The candidate should also be an excellent communicator and
work proficiently and quickly with design, management, and implementation
- Interact with
customers and product managers to help identify usability issues.
- Develop creative
UI solutions that simplify complex workflows and address customer needs.
- Work with the
Toura team to refine concepts, create prototypes, and conduct usability
- Present design
concepts and solutions in a clear and effective manner.
- Enhance the
discussion of design focused thought and trends.
- Effectively collaborate
with team members and throughout the organization.
- 3-5 years of
professional experience in interaction design.
- Comfortable with
all parts of the user-centered design process including personas,
wireframes, information architecture diagrams, screen designs, interaction
designs, interactive demos and UI specifications.
- Strong familiarity
with a variety of content management systems and mobile applications.
- Experience using
innovative interactions to simplify complex applications.
- Expert fluency in
Adobe Creative Suite CS5, wireframing tools (e.g. Omnigraffle)
- Fluency writing
- Working knowledge
- Experience with
creating a pattern and/or component library.
conducting or participating in user interviews or usability testing.
- Ability to create
rapid prototypes for collecting customer feedback.
- Desire to
constantly learn and improve
- Familiarity with
Ruby on Rails a plus.
