The Ruby on Rails Software Engineer will develop applications for account management, customer service, and community elements. Ideal candidates have a desire to develop high performance, secure, and scalable web applications, have a passion for writing clean code, and have a strong history of getting things done in a timely and practical manner with minimal supervision.
  • Design and build Ruby on Rails applications
  • Work with QA and Operations to test and publish applications
  • Create and maintain automated tests
  • Integrate with other internal services and third-party systems
  • 3+ years experience creating and deploying production ready web applications
  • 2+ years experience with the Ruby language and the Rails framework
  • Must have a working knowledge of the entire Ruby on Rails stack
  • Understanding of relational database structure with the ability to write SQL queries
  • Capability to write and consume web services
  • Experience using jruby, warbler, and bundler
A Plus
·         Experience with programming in Java
·         Experience with Tomcat
·         Familiarity with scalable queue based processing systems such as Active MQ
·         Knowledge of Google Protocol Buffers
·         Actively play, and follow video games; specifically MMOs
