you are truly passionate about the back end, ZoomSafer would love to have you.  We want someone who displays a love for
big-data problems, a mastery of MySQL and a solid understanding of MVC
frameworks (particularly Rails). You value clean data, simple models and
efficient code. Our ideal candidate has a CS background, but we are most
interested in your skills and personality.
Here’s
what makes ZoomSafer’s engineering team special: Everyone does everything, from
coding, to product design, to scaling, to customer support. We’re a smaller
team that wants to stay a small team. We don’t do meetings, and we don’t do BS
facetime, and we don’t care about titles. It’s all about building great
software that delights users.
Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop and
    maintain the model layer of ZoomSafer’s product
  • Prototype experimental
    features
  • Build reusable frameworks
    to simplify development
  • Help make UI & UX decisions
Requirements:
  • Links to live examples of
    your work that is currently used by a large audience
  • Significant Web Development
    Experience
  • You love working with great
    teams
  • Nasty with hand-coded SQL
Bonus
Skills:
  • Has worked with an MVC framework
    (particularly Rails)
  • You can get your hands
    *really* dirty with MySQL
  • Design/UX knowledge
  • Previous startup experience is a plus. If you have
    done your own startup, super plus!
  • Beard (Natural or fake)
